About OkayHonee.

Last updated August 8, 2026

OkayHonee is two things. The first is talking to a real person. You can message a human listener about what is going on with you and your partner โ€” not a bot, and not a therapist, an ordinary person who is good at listening and is not in your life. The first 200 messages are free; after that you buy messages in batches, and nothing renews.

The other is an AI relationship translator: you type what your partner said or did, and it tells you โ€” honestly, and with jokes โ€” what they probably meant, plus one concrete thing to say back. It works in both directions and it runs in a browser. There's nothing to install and no app store to go through.

Why it exists

Sometimes you just need to tell someone.

But the people close to you are close to it too. Friends take sides. Family remembers.

So we give you someone who is not in your life at all. Not a therapist. Just a person who is good at listening, on the other end of a message.

The AI translator is still here if you want a fast read on one message. But most of the time, people do not need a translation. They need to be heard.

The rules we run on

With a listener

They listen. That is the actual job. No diagnosis, no homework, no five step plan.

Whatever they say is theirs, not ours. We asked people to listen, not to read a script.

Be decent to them. They are here to listen, not to be flirted with or shouted at, and we will step in if somebody forgets that. It is the one rule we enforce.

No AI ever reads what you send them. Not to check it, not to train on it, not for anything.

With the AI

The joke is always at the expense of whoever is typing. Never your partner. Never a group. No “women be like.” No “men are trash.” Nothing about race, religion, or who anyone is. That one is a floor, not a preference.

It will not help you lie, snoop, keep score, or win.

The second something stops being funny, so does it. It drops the comedy and points you at the safety page, which is the one page here with no jokes on it at all.

Funny first, true underneath. Funny and wrong is a failure. True and boring is also a failure, because you will not read it.

Things worth being upfront about

A listener is a person, which is the point and also the catch. They sleep. They have jobs. A reply comes when it comes.

The translator is a machine, and nobody reads it before you do. It has never met your partner and knows one sentence about your life, so it will sometimes be confidently, fluently wrong. (The demo card and a few example messages are written by hand. We are not passing those off as the model's work.) How the AI relationship translator works has the detail.

Neither half is counseling. One is entertainment. The other is somebody who is good at listening. Between them they still do not add up to a therapist.

We keep what you type, including from people who never signed in, because that is how the thing works and how it gets better. We do not publish it. We have never used a real submission as an example anywhere on this site; every one of them we wrote ourselves. The Privacy Policy is the version that counts.

The name has two E's. Honee. Yes, on purpose. No, it has not helped anybody find us.
